This academic website is maintained by Yanyi Pu. Optional Google Analytics helps me understand how people find and use the site.

Your choice

Analytics is off by default. Google Analytics loads only after you select Accept analytics. You can decline and use the whole site, including the CV and publication links. Change your choice at any time using Analytics settings in the footer.

Analytics is off until you choose to allow it.

What is measured

If you allow analytics, Google receives events such as page views, active browsing time, scrolls, outbound link clicks and clicks on downloadable files. Reports can include approximate location, device and browser information, referral sources and visit times. A download click does not confirm that the file was fully downloaded.

The site does not ask for your name or email for analytics. Advertising features and Google signals are disabled in the website tag. Page URLs and referrers sent by this tag omit query strings and fragments.

Cookies and saved preferences

Your analytics choice is saved in this browser for up to 180 days. This preference is not a visitor identifier. If you accept, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_… to distinguish browsers and sessions; this site limits their configured lifetime to 180 days.

Declining or withdrawing consent stops analytics and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies set for this site. Withdrawal reloads the current page to stop the loaded analytics script. It does not erase events already received by Google. Blocking or clearing browser storage may cause the choice to be requested again.

Service providers

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub processes requests needed to deliver the site, independently of the optional analytics setting. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
